Local Diner Featured in Upcoming Movie Partners with NASCAR Team at Daytona
LAKE WALES, FL, (February 12, 2024) - Florida-based team, DGM Racing announces a partnership with New Smyrna Beach’s Pappas Drive-In and Restaurant for the season-opener race at Daytona International Speedway. In addition to feeding DGM Racing’s three-car crew, Pappas will offer NASCAR crew members a discount on meals during the race weekend, and serve as an associate sponsor on Kyle Weatherman’s No. 91 Chevrolet Camaro.
Pappas is a local diner famous for its home-cooked specials, burgers and fries, and milkshakes. Open seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Pappas is the go-to place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has been a favorite place for locals, race fans, and visitors during Bike Week.
Aside from its delicious food, Pappas has been a hot topic in the news after its appearance in the Apple Original Film about Formula 1 starring Brad Pit. The Drive-In Restaurant is excited to expand its footprint into the racing world by partnering with Florida’s only full-time NASCAR team at the first Xfinity Series race of the year. The inside and outside of the 1970s diner will be featured in the movie along with several of Pappas’ employees.

To give back to the men and women that bring the sport to life, Pappas will offer five dollars off any purchase of $25 or more for any crew members, drivers, and officials that have a current NASCAR hard card. The offer is valid February 17 and 18.
DGM Racing drivers are excited to visit Pappas for a pre-race breakfast Friday morning leading up to the highly-anticipated United Rentals 300 that will take place at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 17. The race will be televised live on FS1 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
