DOVER, Del. - NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver Myatt Snider will pilot the #91 DGM Racing entry in the Bet Rivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway on May 16, 2026, with the entire car painted to honor Delaware State Police (DSP) Corporal Grade One Matthew “Ty” Snook, who was killed in the line of duty on December 23, 2025.
Endorsed by Delaware State Troopers and the Snook family, the tribute car will act as a moving symbol of remembrance throughout race weekend, connecting fans at the track with a message that extends far beyond motorsports. Coincidentally, it will run at the conclusion of National Police Week, a time dedicated nationwide to honoring law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to drive with Ty’s name on the car at his home track,” said Snider. “I am incredibly grateful to the community for coming together and raising the funds to make this happen. Ty was part of a brotherhood and you can see how many people he meant to. Knowing his story and the sacrifice he made, it’s something I carry with so much respect. This is bigger than just a race for me, I’m proud to have him riding along.”
The car’s paint scheme mirrors the vehicles driven daily by Delaware State Troopers as they protect and serve communities across the state, with the portrait of Ty emblazoning the hood, sides and rear bumper.
Cpl/1 Snook was killed in the line of duty as a victim of a targeted attack against law enforcement while working an extra-duty job at the Karen L. Johnson Division of Motor Vehicles in New Castle, Delaware. The gunman ambushed Cpl/1 Snook from behind and fired several rounds, striking him. In his final moments, Cpl/1 Snook valiantly and heroically shielded a DMV employee from harm.
“Cpl/1 Snook made a lasting impact on the Delaware State Police that will never be forgotten,” said Colonel William D. Crotty, Superintendent of the Delaware State Police. “Ty was a respected Trooper and a beloved member of both the DSP Family and the community he served. The outpouring of support from the community to honor him in this way reflects the impact of his service.”
The initiative was made possible and fully funded by community supporters via private and business donations, with those donating having their names and logos featured on the car. The fundraising ultimately exceeded the initial goal needed to run the car, with the surplus going directly to the Delaware State Troopers Association Benevolent Fund, with Harvey Hanna & Associates being an anchor partner for this initiative.
“Harvey Hanna & Associates is honored to support this tribute to Trooper Ty Snook and to help recognize a Delaware law enforcement officer who served his community with courage and dedication”, said E. Thomas “Thom” Harvey III, Chairman & CEO of Harvey Hanna & Associates. “For many years, our company has been proud to support the Delaware State Police community and serve as a committed benefactor to the DSTA Benevolent Fund and its mission of assisting troopers and their families in times of need. This initiative not only keeps Ty’s memory alive on a national stage, but also brings our community together in support of the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way every day. We are proud to stand with the Delaware State Trooper’s Association, the Delaware State Police Museum, DGM Racing, and everyone helping make this tribute possible.”
In solidarity with the Delaware State Troopers, Snider and the car will be available at the Delaware State Police Museum at 1425 N Dupont Hwy, Dover, DE 19901, from 11-3 P.M. on Sunday, May 17 on the day following the race for a driver meet and greet with the race-used car.
“The Snook family is so grateful for Myatt Snider and his team for honoring my brother at this race in sharing our hero’s name and story with the world,” said Kassi Snook, Ty’s sister. “Ty would think the car’s design is absolutely amazing. He would love all of this. Ty was the epitome of strength and hard work, and motivated everyone around him to always be their best. I have no doubt that Ty will be cheering on Myatt from above. I wish he could be here to see every part of this.”
With an anticipated audience of more than one million viewers and expanded media coverage surrounding All-Star Race Weekend, the tribute is expected to reach a broad national audience, ensuring Cpl/1 Snook’s legacy continues to inspire. The Bet Rivers 200 at Dover Motor Speedway will take place May 16, 2026, with live national television coverage on the CW at 4:00 EST.
